Fans of the popular TV show Line of Duty were thrilled to see the cast members reuniting at their co-star’s wedding. Vicky McClure, who plays a lead role in the show, tied the knot with her long-time partner Jonny Owen in Nottingham on August 11th. McClure shared the happy news on her Instagram the following day, expressing her joy with the caption “Tied up in Notts!!! Best. Day. Ever!!!!!”
The wedding was attended by several celebrities, including Paddy McGuinness who congratulated the couple on their special day. However, it was the presence of Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar, McClure’s co-stars in Line of Duty, that got fans particularly excited. Compston shared a photo on his Instagram Stories showing him alongside Dunbar at the wedding, and other pictures posted on social media showed the cast with the show’s creator Jed Mercurio.
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement and took to social media to express their love for the cast. One fan wrote, “I LOVE THEM,” while another exclaimed, “AC-12 back together.” AC-12 is the fictional anti-corruption unit that the characters played by McClure, Compston, and Dunbar belong to in the TV show.
In addition to the Line of Duty stars, McClure’s co-stars from the film This Is England also attended the wedding. Thomas Turgoose, Andrew Ellis, and Johnny Harris, who all starred in the 2006 film directed by Shane Meadows, were present to celebrate McClure’s special day.
To make the wedding even more memorable, the Dementia Choir performed for McClure and Owen. McClure had previously led a BBC One documentary on the music group, exploring the connection between music and dementia.
Overall, the wedding of Vicky McClure and Jonny Owen was a joyous occasion filled with love, laughter, and the reunion of Line of Duty cast members. Fans couldn’t be happier to see their favorite stars together again and shared their excitement on social media. It was undoubtedly a day to remember for the newlyweds and their loved ones.
