Strictly Come Dancing 2023: Final contestant announced as full lineup revealed

The upcoming season of Strictly Come Dancing is set to feature a new lineup of celebrities, including reality star Zara McDermott and veteran broadcaster Krishnan Guru-Murthy. This year, the show celebrates its 21st anniversary and will once again be hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The show is expected to start in September and run until mid-December. The diverse lineup includes actors, presenters, comedians, and more.

Zara McDermott, a 26-year-old reality star who gained fame on Love Island, will be participating in the show. She has also worked on several BBC documentaries and is known for her social media presence alongside fellow reality star Sam Thompson.

Amanda Abbington, a 51-year-old actor, has appeared in popular drama TV series such as Sherlock and Mr Selfridge. She has also performed in various stage plays and is excited to overcome her shyness and learn to dance on the show.

Angela Rippon, a well-known journalist, TV presenter, and newsreader, will be the oldest contestant to ever compete on Strictly at 79 years old. She previously hosted the original version of the show, called Come Dancing, over 30 years ago. Rippon has been recognized for her contributions to broadcasting and dementia care.

Layton Williams, a 28-year-old actor known for his roles in Billy Elliot and Everyone’s Talking About Jamie, is eager to take part in the iconic dance competition. He is excited to bring his energy and love for music and dance to the ballroom.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy, a 53-year-old broadcaster and journalist, has covered major events around the world throughout his career. He is looking forward to the challenge of learning to dance on Strictly, although he is slightly concerned about his age.

Eddie Kadi, a 40-year-old stand-up comedian and radio presenter, is the first British Black comic to headline the O2 Arena in London. He is ready to give his all on the dance floor and promises to bring a great vibe to the competition.

Angela Scanlon, a 39-year-old TV presenter, is known for her work on the BBC and Irish broadcaster RTÉ. She is excited about the glitter and glamour of Strictly and is curious about the experience of wearing sequins.

Adam Thomas, a 34-year-old actor known for his role in Emmerdale, is thrilled to be joining Strictly. Despite not being a skilled dancer, he is excited to learn and have fun with his professional partner on the dance floor.

Nikita Kanda, a 28-year-old radio host, is looking forward to her dream of being on Strictly coming true. She can’t wait to get glammed up and dance in front of the audience.

Ellie Leach, a 22-year-old actor who played Faye Windass on Coronation Street, is still in disbelief about being on Strictly. It has always been a dream of hers, and she is grateful to see it come true.

Jody Cundy CBE, a world and Paralympic champion, will represent Great Britain on the show. He has competed in numerous Paralympics and won multiple gold medals.
