Actor Corey Feldman and his wife, Courtney Anne Mitchell, have announced their separation after seven years of marriage. The Lost Boys star, 52, confirmed the news in a statement to Page Six, saying, “It is with great sadness that Courtney and I have made the decision to separate after many wonderful years together.”
Feldman expressed that they have been through a lot as a couple and still have love and respect for each other. He explained that their separation is not about blaming anyone, but rather a result of the challenges of life, Courtney’s health issues, and the fact that they have grown apart.
Due to Mitchell’s health concerns and the need for healing, Feldman stated that they have decided it’s not in her best interest to continue on their current tour, Love Retours 23. He asked for prayers for her speedy recovery and emphasized that their love for each other remains strong.
Mitchell also issued a statement to Page Six, expressing her deep sadness at the separation. She shared that they have shared both private and public moments and that she will always cherish the times they had together. She expressed her continued love for Feldman.
Mitchell revealed that she has been dealing with health issues, including chronic fatigue syndrome, for the past two years. She explained that these health challenges have taken a toll on her and her family. She stated that she always tries to stay positive, but it has reached a point where she can no longer continue with the tour.
The couple began dating in 2012 and got engaged in Palm Springs, California, four years later. They tied the knot at the Fizz Champagne Lounge at the Caesars Palace Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in 2016.
Feldman, known for his work as a child actor in the 1980s films Friday the 13th and The Goonies, has been performing as a solo musician and Mitchell has been part of his tour, both as a performer and DJ. They have also appeared together on reality TV shows such as Celebrity Wife Swap and Marriage Boot Camp: Family Edition.
Despite their separation, both Feldman and Mitchell expressed their love and respect for each other, indicating that their bond is still strong. The future is uncertain, but they are hopeful and appreciate the support of their fans during this difficult time.
