A new mother recently expressed her gratitude to Pink after attending the singer’s concert, which inadvertently marked the beginning of her delivery journey. It happened on 31 July at Fenway Park in Boston during Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour. The pregnant fan, Angela Mercer, had traveled from Albany, New York, to Massachusetts with her sister-in-law and mother to watch the concert. Mercer was already 31 weeks pregnant at the time, but she wasn’t expecting to give birth in a different state.

However, after arriving at the baseball stadium, Mercer started experiencing severe contractions and immediately called her doctor. Unfortunately, due to the concert crowds and traffic, the journey to the hospital became challenging. Determined to reach Brigham and Women’s Hospital, they decided to walk, as it was only a mile away from the park. Decked out in their concert outfits, they made the trek, and Mercer later gave birth to her son in the hospital’s NICU. As a tribute to Pink, Mercer named her baby boy “Aycen Hart” after the singer, whose last name is now Hart.

Mercer expressed her gratitude to the hospital staff for their guidance and expertise throughout the impromptu delivery. Aycen is currently receiving care at the NICU in Albany, though there are no major concerns about his health. Mercer mentioned her desire to “reschedule” her concert experience for Pink’s next round of shows. Brigham and Women’s Hospital referred to Aycen as Pink’s youngest and newest fan.

While the family didn’t get to enjoy the concert, they consider their healthy baby boy to be the greatest gift of all. Pink’s summer tour started on 7 June and will continue until 19 November. The 43-year-old artist is accompanied by her two children, Willow, 12, and Jameson, 6. In an interview with Today, Pink shared that she pays Willow around $22.50 per show, with the amount depending on the duration. Willow, who mainly handles backstage tasks, made her on-stage debut by singing “Cover Me In Sunshine” with her mother on the tour’s opening night.
