Rumors are swirling that Rami Malek may be dating Emma Corrin, following reports of his recent split from Lucy Boynton, his girlfriend of five years. Over the past month, Malek and Corrin, who identifies as non-binary, have been seen together on several occasions. On August 10th, a photo of the pair sitting at a restaurant was shared by The Sun, along with claims that they were seen kissing and holding hands. According to the publication, the date took place on August 9th at a restaurant in Margate, Kent, where they enjoyed wine and a seafood platter costing around $158. A source revealed that Malek and Corrin were low-key and declined requests for photos from fans. They were described as being very passionate and locked in eye contact, showing no concern for anyone else around them.
This is not the first time the two actors have been seen together. In July, pictures surfaced of them sitting side by side at a Bruce Springsteen concert in Hyde Park, London. In the photos, Corrin can be seen leaning into Malek and whispering something into his ear. Another picture from the same outing showed Malek with his hand on Corrin’s knee. The Independent has reached out to Malek and Corrin for comment on their rumored relationship.
Prior to his date with Corrin, The Sun reported that Malek quietly ended his relationship with Boynton earlier this year. The source stated that they had grown apart after being together for a long time and that both of them are now focusing on their respective careers. Malek has reportedly been spending the summer surrounded by friends and enjoying himself following the split. The last public appearance of Malek and Boynton together was at the BAFTA awards in February. Throughout their relationship, the couple maintained a private lifestyle.
Boynton has previously expressed her discomfort with the attention Malek receives from fans. In an interview with Net-A-Porter’s Porter in 2020, she mentioned how fans would grab Malek in public without considering his personal space or the presence of others. Boynton expressed her shock at one incident where they were pushed aside while with her mother. She described the sense of ownership some fans have and the disregard for boundaries.
